SCRATCH REPAIR
and CREASE REMOVAL |
What a shame - wrinkles at such a young age! |
Now you see 'em
|
Now you don't! |
SPOT AND STAIN
REMOVAL
EDGES SOFTENED
A duplicate image has been restored and the original tucked
back in the family album.
|
|
Spots and what may be a paint smear
mar this original photo
|
Color restored and spots removed.
Without the black photo frame, and
with edges blurred, the picture
becomes much softer and loses
that stiff look. She looks happier,
don't you think? |
SEVERE DAMAGE -
AREAS TORN AWAY
Missing areas can be repainted and cracks repaired
|
|
This photo got a lot of looks, and the top
got worn out
from being pulled up out of a billfold pocket many,
many times. It has been loved to pieces!
|
Without interrupting his train of
thought,
tree branches and leaves were "painted" in
to hide the damage done from cracks and wrinkles
in the original photo. Now this picture can be
gazed upon forever and no harm done.

FAMILY
HEIRLOOMS
Every member of the family can have an album of their own or
framed versions.
The original antique photo remains unchanged, retaining its
value and history. |
|
This little photograph has gouges, spots and
marks,
but it has survived almost 150 years.
|
Damage fixed and photo clarity
sharpened
to bring out finer details in lace, shoelaces and carving.
Toe of right shoe will be "repainted" in final below.
|
Precious as gold.
This little girl grew into the young woman with
the feather in her hat (above)
|
STAIN REMOVAL
Expert attention to detail is necessary for facial repair work.
|
|
Stains on photo are possibly ink dilution
|
As beautiful as ever
|
FILM DAMAGE
Subtleties of skin tone and expression require professional
repair.
|
|
White lines are within the photo itself
|
Grandma looks pretty again
with a new "paint job."
|
AREAS PAINTED IN
Professional artistic rendering of missing areas |
|
The left side of original photo was cut on a
slant (see photo behind and to the left).
To square it off would require cutting the big toe or several toes off
(ouch!).
To save the toes so as not to spoil the composition, vines, grass, rocks
and dirt were
"painted" over the white area and no amputation was required.
By the way, this big girl grew from that little girl in the white hat at
the top of the page. |

VACATION
PICTURES YOU WANT TO KEEP
Now when you're showing your friends your vacation pictures, you
don't have to keep saying...
"This one's too dark," "This one's too
light,"
"That's me back there with the Pope, but you can't see my
face." |
|
Whoops, took this one with the sun on her back.
So you're not a professional photographer, right?
